Enhanced Features for Blackboard Learn in May
Coming Thursday, May 23, 2013!
An enhanced version of Blackboard Learn will appear when you login on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Blackboard Learn servers will be taken offline on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 4:00 AM-4:00 PM in order to install a service pack upgrade. Updating to will allow the following enhancements to be available to the Pace community.

Full Descriptions of Enhancements
1) New Content Editor
The new Content Editor vastly improves the user experience for entering text, pasting content from Microsoft Word, and adding content to all areas of Blackboard Learn. Plus, the addition of new icons akin to Microsoft Word to help you format your content better.

3) Social Learning
Blackboard Learn’s social learning tools enable you to connect, communicate, and collaborate with your institution’s Blackboard users.
Discussion have been updated in two ways: the thread detail page has been redesigned but still maintains current functionality and instructors can now require students first post to a forum before they can view other posts.

5) Inline Assignment Grading
Instead of downloading student-submitted files to grade, instructors can now see those files “inline,” i.e. in the web browser. Annotation tools also enable instructors to provide feedback — comments, highlights, and even drawing — directly on the inline view of the document.

The new Calendar feature allows instructors and students to view institution level, course and personal events in a single calendar view. And export to third-party calendars like Outlook or Google.
